Yvette Marie Fetsch

Yvette Marie Fetsch, age 64, of Silverton, Oregon, passed away on October 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Yvette was born on September 26, 1960, in Stayton, Oregon, to Donald and Rose (Courtney) Thurston. She grew up in Stayton, attending local schools before pursuing further education in college.


Yvette dedicated over 28 years to Pace Equipment in Wilsonville, where she worked as an office manager, known for her hard work and professionalism. It was at the Clackamas County Rodeo where Yvette met the love of her life, Allen Fetsch, bonding over their mutual passion for the outdoors. They married on December 8, 1999, at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning a life filled with adventure and shared memories.


Together, Yvette and Allen explored the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and beyond, traveling hundreds of miles on horseback. Her beloved paint horse, Buddy, was always by her side, guiding her safely through her favorite trips to the Cascades, Hell's Canyon, and the Metolius Basin. Yvette’s love for nature extended to trips on ATVs, hunting excursions, and relaxing days at Foster Lake and North Lake on their pontoon boat.


Yvette will be remembered for her easy-going nature, sense of adventure, and love of fun. She cherished time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories with those she loved.


She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Thurston. Yvette is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 25 years, Allen Fetsch; her mother, Rose Thurston; her children, Heather Cate and Jonathan Thurston; her siblings, Renee, Nicole, and Mark; and her cherished grandchildren, Colt, Ashlyn, Blake, Aden, Sydney, Matt, and Phillip. She will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.


Yvette’s spirit of adventure and love for the outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
