Winnie, a resident of Stayton, Oregon, was born in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1926 to Winn and Mae Glenn. Her family relocated to Oregon when she was a young child. Winnie married Oliver Bursell in 1942 with whom she had two children while residing in Albany, Oregon until their divorce in 1960. She moved to Portland where she met and married Robert Anderson,(deceased), in 1963. Winnie was a warm, loving, creative and talented woman. She had a great sense of humour, and loved sharing jokes and giggles with her dear sister and best friend Lela. Always resilient and determined to stay positive, Winnie was a joy to be with. Her children remember how hard she worked and how much fun they had picking beans and stawberries with her when they were young, Winnie was a self taught musician and performer. She and her sister Lela hosted a radio show as children, singing and playing their guitars. Everyone loved to hear her play her favorite songs on her fiddle and organ. She was an amazing baker, especially her famous cinnamon rolls and bread! Winnie loved the holidays, always making her special candy and generously giving to all of her family and friends. And in the spring you could always find Winnie in her yard caring for the flowers she was so proud of. She leaves her beloved sister Lela Betker and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
