Wilma Marie Connally was born on February 7, 1934 in Foss Oklahoma to John and Katherine (Merz) Kerkhoff. Wilma was the youngest of three daughters. She had many fond memories of growing up on the family farm. She would graduate from Burns Flat-Dill City High School in 1952. Dorman and Wilma were married on August 19, 1952 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Canute, Oklahoma. They started a farm together and soon started a family. In 1960, the family would then move to the Stayton Sublimity area where Wilma and Dorman would reside for the remainder of their lives. In her younger years, Wilma enjoyed sewing, but gardening became more of her hobby later in life. She was an active member in the Gardening Club and Catholic Daughter of the Americas. Even though she was a homemaker for most of her life, she worked for the cannery doing seasonal work. She volunteered for many causes. On February 26, 2020, Wilma passed away in Keizer, Oregon at the Village of Keizer Ridge where she resided for the last two years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dorman, parents John and Katherine Kerkhoff; son, Larry and siblings Julia (Maurice) Adams, Mildred (Paul) Adams. She is survived by her children Kathy (Mike) Larimer, Kevin (Tina) Connally, and Marla Connally; grandchildren Jason Larimer, Alicia Nelke, Nicole Lindemann, Charity Hall, and Jacob Lindemann; and five great grandchildren.
