William Edward "Bill" Benson

William Edward “Bill” Benson, age 73, passed away on July 6, 2020 in Lebanon, OR. Bill was born on September 8, 1946 in San Diego, CA to Gilbert and Charlotte (Brown) Benson. His childhood was spent in California. After graduation, he joined the United states Navy, and served in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Oregon. Bill worked as a Union Electrician. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and botany. He loved teaching his children about the different types of plants. He was a wonderful father, and he will be greatly missed. Bill’s last years were spent living at the Lebanon Veteran’s Home, where he received wonderful care. Bill is survived by his children, Rebecca Dias, Jennifer Carlisle, Joel Benson and Sebastian Benson; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and two sisters, Pat and Louise. Private Services will be held at a later date.
