William "Bill" Joseph Shoemake

William “Bill” Joseph Shoemake, age 63, passed away on July 23, 2020 in Albany. Bill was born on July 17, 1957 in Perry County, Mississippi to Robert Lawrence Shoemake Jr. and Mary Patricia Benoit Shoemake. Bill was known as 'Billy' growing up in his hometown of Runnelstown by his classmates and family. He was one of seven children raised on a south Mississippi farm that grew crops for the family, as well as stocked catfish ponds- he knew what hard work and dedication was at a young age.He was a very smart, caring, and witty feller. Bill will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. We'll see you later alligator! Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lou Eugin Shoemake, son William Scott Shoemake, sister Jean Shoemake Breland, and father and mother Robert Lawrence Shoemake Jr. and Mary Patricia Beniot Shoemake. Bill is survived by his daughter Seprina Shoemake Shepherd, granddaughter Amber Shepherd and grandson Jacob Shepherd of Petal, MS along with his brothers Thomas Shoemake (Tommy), Richard Shoemake (Ricky), Larry Shoemake, and sisters Rebecca Hensarling and Patrica Weaver.
