May 5, 1938 ~ August 24, 2012 Will was born and grew up in Siegerswoude, The Netherlands and served in the Dutch Air Force for two years. He Immigrated with his wife and children to Lakewood, CA in 1966 and then moved to Silverton, OR in 1978. He attended Cerritos College in CA and completed a certificate in Fundamental Division Machine Processes. He graduated from Chemeketa Community College with an Associates Degree and was certified with the State of Oregon in Structural Inspection, Masonry and Mobile home Installation and Inspection. He retired from Salem Equipment in 2003. He enjoyed many outdoor activities and spending the past few years wintering in Arizona. His hobbies were reading mystery novels, metal fabrication and woodworking. There was no task too small or large that Will couldnt handle. He loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildrens activities. He was a very loving and compassionate husband, grandfather and great grandfather; and will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife Trienka, of 51 years of marriage, his children, Corry Meyer-Hollingsworth of BEnd; Willy and Dori Meyer of Silverton, Hank and Caroline Meyer of Silverton, six grandchildren and one great grandchild, his siblings; Leffert Meyer, Griet Meyer-Nicolai and Metti Meyer-Geerlings from The Netherlands, and his beloved dog Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Pieter Meyer. A viewing will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Silverton at 437 N. James Street at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
