Wesley Roy Heald

Wesley Roy Heald September 25, 1932 March 3, 2011 Stayton, Oregon  Wesley Roy Heald, 78, passed away March 3, 2011 at his home in Stayton with his wife, Betty, by his side, after a lengthy illness.  Wesley was born in Los Angeles, CA to Charles R. Heald and Cecilia (Rhinhart) Heald on September 25, 1932.  Wesley, after graduating from Mount Carmel Catholic School, Los Angeles, served as a Sergeant in the Army in the Korean Conflict.  He worked in the Grocery Business for 40 years before retiring.  A native Californian, he and his wife, Betty, moved to Stayton, OR on July 10, 2000.  A private man, Wesley enjoyed family, the outdoors, gardening in his yard, fishing, the horse races, Poker machines and was an avid sports fan.  Wesley is survived by his wife, Betty Ann of 49 years, Three children, George of Stayton, Gary of Fallbrook CA and Debby Larimer (Ron) of Sunriver.  6 grandchildren, George, John, DeAnn, Summer, Adam & Zale. 5 Great grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah, Otto, Liesel, and Cameron.  He was loved so much and affectionately called Papa.  He was a gentle and good man to all who knew him.  Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister and friend, Dolores B. Mazzone, Irvine, CA.  A private Memorial Service is pending at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.   Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association or Willamette Valley Hospice.
