Wendy Beth (Arnold) Bechtel left this world on May 13 after a 5-year battle with cancer. She passed at her home surrounded by family. Wendy was born in Martinez, California on November 1, 1970. She was raised in Northern California and graduated from Placer High School, Auburn California, in 1988. Wendy made her home in Oregon and after raising her beautiful children obtained her Associates Degree of Applied Science at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon in 2013. She worked at the Corvallis Clinic. Wendy was newly wed on May 4th to Matthew Bechtel. She enjoyed crafts, needle point, crocheting, and her family and friends. She loved the Oregon coast and camping there. She is survived by her husband Matthew Bechtel, her children; Steven Shelley 22, Rylee Shelley 19, Brandon Shelley 16, and step-son Matty Bechtel 6. Parents, Anthony and Melody Arnold of Wentworth, Missouri. Sister, Brandy Argyris and husband John of Pierce City, Missouri. Wendy’s bold independence, immeasurable strength, and remarkable courage to try anything once, defined who she was as a person.
