Walter Lee Collier, Jr.

Walter Lee Collier, Jr. was born on October 18, 1946, in San Francisco, California to Walter and Emma (Gochez) Collier. He would marry Glenda Boyer on November 15, 1973. He was part of the first senior graduating class from Regis High School. Walter would earn a degree from Chemeketa Community College and would work for ODOT as a system specialist since 1986 until retirement in 2003.

Walter and Glenda were also members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem, Oregon. When not working or spending time with family, he enjoyed bowling and competed in leagues. Walter would bowl many state and national championships for over 46 years. He also would spend time fishing and golfing.

Walter is survived by his spouse, Glenda Collier; children, Wanda Hildebrandt, Anthony Collier, and Terrence Collier; grandchildren, Allison Collier, Michael Collier, Anthony Collier, Nichole Collier, Sarah Hildebrandt, Emma Collier, Jack Collier; great grandchildren, Cinco, Ayries and Harmony in addition to numerous extended family members and friends. Walter passed away on June 27, 2022, in Stayton, Oregon at age 75. A graveside for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 11am in Lone Oak Cemetery.
