Walter Harry Rennick

BROOKS - Walter Harry Rennick was born on June 1, 1922 in Benton County, Washington, the son of Fred and Caroline Rennich. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945 as a Fire Fighter 3rd Class. Walter served on an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea. A printer by trade, he worked at the Sacramento Bee, Tacoma Tribune and for over 25 years at the Statesmen Journal in Salem, Oregon. He married Margery M. Heide on January 13, 1947 in Yakima, Washington. They were married for 63 years. Walter lived in Brooks, Oregon since 1962. He passed away on November 17, 2018 at age 96 in Salem, Oregon. Walter is survived by son, Terry Rennick (wife, Donna Rennick); daughter Vikki Rennick (husband, Les Phillips); five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
