Vernon Gale Miller

Vernon Gale Miller was born August 13 ^th , 1945, to parents Ira Henry Miller and Mary Louise Parsons in Waterloo, Iowa. He had one sister, Monica Miller. After graduating high school, Vern would go on to serve in the United States Navy during Vietnam from May 1963 to 1971. Later in life Vernon met Cindy Burke and on June 2, 2007, in Salem, Oregon, they were married. Vern had 4 children: Tina (Mats) Halvardson, Matt (Rian) Pancheri, Rebbecca (Jason) Greenlaw, and Kris (Taylor) Pancheri. Vern worked at Fairview Training Center in Salem, Oregon until retirement. After retirement Vern and Cindy moved to Lyle, Washington so they could become homesteaders and live off the land. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a retired member of the Gypsy Jokers.

On April 22, 2022, Vernon Gale Miller passed away in Portland, Oregon. Vern was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Cindy, children: Tina, Rebbecca, Matt, and Kris, sister: Monica; as well as his eight grandchildren: Antoni Halvardson, Kaiden Randall, Saydee Randall, Hannah Randall, Lilly Randall, Connor Pancheri, Addie Pancheri, Kane Pancheri, and Kolt Pancheri and first great-grandchild: Alayna Halvardson. He enriched the lives of those around him and he will be missed deeply.
