Travis Lepper

April 9, 1987 — August 15, 2022

Travis Levi Lepper passed away in his sleep on August 15, 2022 at his home in Eugene, Oregon. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on April 9, 1987, and grew up in Midland, Michigan, where he graduated from H.H. Dow High School.

Travis spent his entire adulthood in Colorado and Oregon where he took full advantage of his love of nature, snowboarding, skateboarding, hiking, and camping. His other true passions in life were music and art. He spent many hours of his spare time writing and composing song lyrics, playing the drums, creating unique music with his beat machine, drawing, and making hand made gifts for his family and friends.

Travis truly loved his family and friends, and he was always concerned about their well being even in the face of his own battles with anxiety and other mental health challenges. He will be remembered as a compassionate and caring human with a gentle soul and a very creative mind. He will be sorely missed, and the family is grateful that he is finally at peace. Travis’ body has been donated for medical research, a decision the family knows would have met his full approval. This gives Travis a final chance to make a positive impact on society as he departs the earthly world.

Travis is survived by his parents, Debbie and Steve Lepper, brother Steven (Erin) and nieces Sydney and Megan, brother Philip (Beth) and niece Emma and nephew Lucas, aunts Shari Boykin and Gina Lepper, and cousins Cindi Calderon, Taylor Garratt, and Lauren Garcia.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 26, from 6-9 pm at The Big Dirty in Eugene. The address for the Big Dirty is 844 Olive Street, Eugene, Oregon, 97401. The family will have a private ceremony for Travis in Michigan at a time and site to be determined.
