Tracy Anne Beimler was born February 19, 1972, in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, to Michael George and Beverly Anne (Sorenson) Beimler. She grew up in Canada and moved to Victoria, British Columbia, for a time, and at some point made her way to the United States, settling in the Salem, Oregon, area eventually. Tracy spent time at the Recovery Outreach Community Center in Salem, where she became a peer coordinator. Self-care was an important part of recovery for Tracy and she used healing herbs as well as Art Therapy with pencil and chalk to ground herself. She also loved dogs and had a strong connection with them and formed an extra special bond with Zena the rescue Dachshund. Although the subject of politics can get heated at times, Tracy enjoyed a good debate and was interested in what was happening on the political scene. She also loved gardening and was enrolled in the Master Gardeners Program through OSU and was close to completing the requirements to earn her certificate. When Tracy met Gary and Stephanie Boxall, the three became fast friends. The Boxalls provided a place for Tracy to live and she used her gardening skills to help them take care of their property and create beautiful landscaping. The three of them grew close over the time Tracy spent with them and they treated Tracy like she was family. On October 24, 2020, Tracy passed-away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Boxall home where she lived. Tracy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Michelle Soley of British Columbia, brothers Matthew Jackson and Miles Jackson, and her dear friends in Oregon in the gardening community and at ROCC.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Union Gospel Mission in Salem.
