Timothy William Houck was born January 18, 1968, in Salem, Oregon, to John and Laura Houck. He was raised in the Idanha/Detroit area by John and Kay Houck. He had five brothers and one sister. Tim loved to ride motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles and participated in all sports offered by his school. He was known as the class clown and befriended all whom he met. After graduating from Detroit High School, Tim joined the Navy and served our country proudly for 4 years during the Persian Gulf conflict. During his time in the Navy he was a machinist, however, he often joked about being a professional potato peeler. Once Tim was honorably discharged from the Navy, he and his best friend Brian Fields took off and moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he eventually met and then later married, Deborah Holley. Debbie brought with her 2 amazing daughters; ages 6 and 8; whom Tim loved and raised as his own from the first day he met them. Tim and Debbie had a son together four years later. Together they found a love for the open road and trucking. Through the years they traveled and lived in many places for work and for Zac's hockey. Throughout their 24 years of marriage there was laughter and fun had by all. Sadly, their marriage ended in divorce. Family was number one to Tim and he loved all of his children and grandchildren. He was known as monkey; instead of the usual grandpa names; to all his grandchildren. Tim loved to take his family on fun mini adventures, finding strange and interesting things to do, always off some back road or off the beaten path. Most recently, Tim lived in North Dakota, where he found a love for camping and continued his adventures. Tim was reacquainted with a childhood friend and high school sweetheart Kristy Williams. Again, he welcomed Kristy’s children and grandchildren as his own. Over the next few years, he and Kristy spent time traveling and living the best life they could together. They were very happy and had many future plans together. Unfortunately, Tim’s life ended suddenly on July 25, 2020, and their plans were never fulfilled. Tim will be remembered as a kindhearted, adventurous, silly goofball who had a heart of gold. He was loved by all and would do anything in his power to make sure everyone around him was happy. He always tried to find the positivity in any situation. Tim always spoke truth in love, even if someone did not want to hear it, because he knew they needed to hear it. He always left a positive impact on everyone he met. Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents. He will be deeply missed by all those he leaves behind; parents John (Kay) Houck and Laura Stormer; girlfriend Kristy Williams; children Kim "Rea" (Wesley) Beason, Sara "Dee" (Conner) Luster, Zac "Boo" Houck, Brittany Carney, Bailey Boren, and Brycee Gomez; grandchildren April, Emilie, Hailie, Evan, Liam, Arya, Kiian, Nakai, Takota, and Aamiah.
