THOMAS  A.  DAUGHERTY March 17, 1925 – April 16, 2012 Stayton, Oregon Thomas “Tom” A. Daugherty, 87, of Stayton passed away on April 16th in Salem.  The son of Thomas  and Elsie Daugherty.  Tom was born in Lewiston, Idaho. He served in the US Army as a Corporal during WWII with 40th Signal Company combat infantrymen.  He received 2 bronze service stars.  He was a member of the Stayton American Legion Post. He was married to Clara Anderson, she preceded him in death.  He was married to Rose  (Rosencrants) on April 2, 1991 in Salem. He belonged to the Church of God of Prophecy. He had worked restoring and repairing office machines and small engines.  Later he  had worked as a cemetery sexton at the Lone Oak I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Stayton and was a member of the I.O.O. F. lodge. He is survived by his wife, Rose of Stayton; step-children, Wesley, Clifford and Peter Anderson, Ann Bottler, Gayla Tulensru and Joy Anni; sister, Vivian Hudson; numerous grand, great, and great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by step-children, Caroline Elward and Dan Zornes. Visitation will be Thursday 9am – 5:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton. Graveside service  with military honors will be held Friday, April 20th at 11:00 am  at Lone Oak Cemetery, Stayton. Celebration of Life will be Sat. April 21st at 2:00 pm at Church of God of Prophecy 10637 Stayton Rd. SE, Aumsville. Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
