Terri Lynn Chapman

Gates- Terri Lynn Chapman was born on August 1, 1958 in Portland, Oregon she was born two months early and weighed just 3 pounds at birth. Terri would grow up in Portland with her sisters and the family would live in Albany, Lacomb and Mehama. As a teenager, Terri loved music and hanging out with friends. She would eventually marry and would later divorce. In her early 20’s Terri was diagnosed with health issues that prevented her from working. Terri enjoyed cookies, Coca-Cola and especially loved to go clothes shopping. She knew exactly what size she was and enjoyed trying on different clothes. All through her life Terri was a free spirit and very resourceful, at times living in Salem and the Canyon area, most recently residing in Gates. Those who had the privilege of knowing Terri knew she was a gentle and kind spirit. On January 9, 2021 at the age of 62 Terri passed away in Lyons, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters, Susan Steele and Kimberly Jones; several nieces and nephews in addition to her longtime friends and caregivers, Alan and Connie Franklin.
