Susan Colleen Fugate

Susan Colleen Fugate, passed away on August 19, 2023, in Mill City, Oregon. Born on August 12, 1956, in Torrance, California. She grew up in LA county and graduated from high school in Anaheim, California. Throughout her life she would live between Idaho, Washington and Oregon. The last two years she resided in Mill City, Oregon.

Susan was a woman of many talents and interests in her younger years she enjoyed playing card games. After high school she earned a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Traffic Control so she could manage airports, but her true calling in life was to be a mom. She was a dedicated homemaker.

In her spare time, Susan enjoyed knitting slippers and potholders, often gifting her creations to those she loved. She had a generous spirit and found joy in making things for people. Her artistic talents extended beyond knitting, as she also enjoyed drawing and painting. Susan was a lover of puzzles, finding satisfaction in the challenge they presented and the beautiful images they created once completed.

She enjoyed fishing and camping, often accompanied by her loyal dog, Doobie who was gifted to her after the passing of her beloved partner Roy Johnson passed away in 2007. Susan and Roy and spent 10 lovely years together.

One thing about Susan is she adored each and every single grandbaby she was blessed with. She loved her family very much which was evident in the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her sons, Darell Dobbins, Shawn Dobbins, and Steven Fugate, her brothers Danny and Gary, and her sister Kitty in additional to several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her partner, Roy Johnson, her siblings Mike and Pat.

Susan’s legacy will be carried on by her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the many beautiful creations she left behind.
