Susan Ann Garza

Susan Ann Garza (Thompson) was born on December 10, 1954 in Birchington, Kent, England to Norman Allen Thompson and Patricia Ellen Hooper.  She would enlist in the US Army, and graduate individual basic training at Fort McClellan Alabama in 1973. She would be honorably discharged in 1974 at the rank of Private First Class and would receive the National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon and the Army Service Ribbon. After being discharged from the Army, she moved to Utah until she more recently moved to Mt. Angel Oregon. Susan was someone who loved to have fun.  Living in Mt Angel allowed her to participate in a variety of activities for which she enjoyed. She loved to play slot machines and would light up anytime she hit a bonus.  She also loved her family and grandchildren. On September 22, 2021 Susan passed away in Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Norman and Patricia. She is survived by her husband, Eduardo; her children, Eric (Sandy) Thompson, Matthew Williamson, and Rachel Williamson (Scott Stolley); grandchildren, Dakota Gunter, Zachary Williamson, Sienna Nelson, Kelcey Timothy, Dylan Thompson, Taysen Stapley, Dylan Stapley; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bret Brennan, Sheila Brennan and John Brennan.
