During his life he would work at Color By Deluxe in Hollywood California where he would make the films for many motion pictures. He would go on to do this for 15 years before retiring to Junction City, Kansas in 2005. His time at Color by Deluxe was always enjoyable to Steven and he was able to meet many celebrities because of it. A year ago, in 2017, the family would move to Oregon in the pursuit for better care. Steven, a devoted family man, enjoyed many outdoor activities. Skateboarding, surfing, boating, fishing, camping, as well as, riding motorcycles and quads, were just a few of the activities that would bring a smile to his face. Lovers of music, Steven and Kelly Ann would also make it a point to attend 20-30 concerts a year. They would use the phrase “Live, Laugh and Love Life” as a mantra to live by. On August 21st, 2018 Steven lost his long-fought and valiant battle with cancer. He passed away at his home in Albany, OR surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father Herman. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly Ann, Mother Lorraine, Daughter Leah Lorraine Long, Son Kyle Clayton Linick, Son-in-Law Stephen Glenn, Brother Evan, Sisters Gladys Bonilla and Aviva Rivera, and Grandchild Ophelia Claire. The legacy of Steven’s kind caring soul went out to all the ones he loved. The family thanks you for the love and support you have shown them. Many have asked how they can help or lend a hand. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that contributions be made on this memorial page to cover funeral and medical expenses that have accrued from his long battle with cancer. Your kind thoughts and messages are much appreciated during this incredibly difficult time.
