Steven D. Leaton

STEVEN  D.  LEATON May 4, 1948 – Nov. 25, 2011 Stayton, Oregon Steven D. Leaton,  63, of Stayton passed away at his home on Nov. 25th.  Born in California on May 4, 1948 to Al and Virginia Leaton.  He grew up in California and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He moved to Stayton in 1972 and was married to Leona King on Jan. 24, 1973 in Stayton.  He had worked in a cabinet shop before working for the Santiam cannery.  He retired due to illness.  Steven was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Leona of Stayton; daughter, Tara (Michael) Tenbusch of Stayton; son, Joshua (Robin) Leaton of Stayton and daughter, Stefanie Leaton of Helena, Montana; brother Daniel (Sue) Leaton of Mississippi ; and grandchildren, Xev and Kyra Tenbusch. Service will be held November 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy, Stayton, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
