Stanley (Stan) George Stellingwerf went to be with Jesus October 18th, 2022.
Stan was born February 24, 1944 to George and Carrie Stellingwerf in Artesia, California. He was the youngest of their three children.
Stan was a dairyman, rancher, realtor and battalion chief of a volunteer fire department. He loved reading and watching westerns. He also loved being outdoors. Riding 4 wheelers, fishing, camping, traveling, trains, playing pinochle (caught cheating more than once🤣) and his family most of all.
Stan struggled with his health. Born with asthma, double pneumonia, broken leg that helped lead to many surgeries (more than 35). Even with all the struggles and trials he never lost his faith in Jesus.
Stan is survived by Shana (his wife of 60 years), his kids George Stellingwerf, Kelly Dobrinin, and Ray Stellingwerf and grandkids (whom he loved dearly). Stan is also survived by his sisters Sylvia Wybenga and Marie DeJager.
