Shirley Marie Nadeau

Shirley Marie Nadeau was born on September 4, 1931, in Middletown, Delaware to Francis and Marie (Piorkowski) Smith. She lived in Pinconning, Michigan and attended high school there. She would meet James “Jim” A. Nadeau and they would marry on February 19, 1949, in Pinconning. She and Jim were blessed with four daughters, Beverly, Ruth, Andrea, and Kathleen. She and Jim would move their family in 1964 to Cypress, California and live there until 1990. Shirley would work in the aerospace industry as a contract negotiator, but was also a dedicated mother and later, grandmother and great grandmother. From 1991 until present, Shirley made her home in Silverton, Oregon and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mount Angel, Oregon. Besides work and family, Shirley enjoyed gardening, cooking, and quilting. Shirley passed away on January 28, 2022, at age 90. Shirley will be remembered for being a thoughtful, spunky, and generous lady to all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Nadeau; parents, Francis, and Marie; sister, Louisa Bratfish. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Molyneux, Ruth Knaust, Andrea James, Kathleen Zollner; grandchildren, Jennifer, Carmel, Rachel, Aimee, James, Tami, Matthew, Nicole; great grandchildren, Olivia, Wyatt, Paige, Claire, Elaina, Ryan, Deegan, Kendle, Daven, Samantha, Porter, Webster, Serene, Ellis and Gibbson. A viewing will be held at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 6-8pm, followed by a family graveside service at Valley View in Silverton on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
