Shirley Leona Kline was born in Salem, Oregon, and was the daughter of Raymond and Mary Ditter. Shirley grew up in Sublimity, OR with her one brother James and five sisters Margret, Jean, Donna, Judy, and Virginia. Shirley attended her last two years of High School at Sacred Heart in Salem, OR. Shirley married for a short time and had two sons, James LeRoy Kline and Richard Wayne Kline. After her divorce Shirley found her way to California where she settled down and became a Financial Service Planner for Arrowhead Credit Union. Shirley's boys James and Richard both got married and gave her 9 grandchildren, one of whom sadly passed away shortly after birth. Her grandchildren also gave her 17 great grandchildren with the youngest being a day old. A short time after the passing of her oldest son James in April 2007 Shirley packed her things and bought a farm and moved back to Oregon. Shirley filled her days with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren became her world. She loved them all dearly and enjoyed going out to eat and spoiling them, just like any grandma would. Shirley never let her son or grandkids, no matter how old they were, leave without giving her a kiss on the cheek. It was with the loving help of her youngest son Richard Kline, daughter-in-law Cheryl and her loving grandson Michael and his wife Samantha, that Shirley was able to carry out her wishes of living at home in her final days. Shirley is preceded in death by her Son James LeRoy Kline, his son Benjamin James Kline, her sister Virginia and parents Raymond and Mary Ditter. Shirley's siblings are holding a Funeral Service for her Tuesday, February 1st at Immaculate Conception Church. A reception to follow at Parrish Hall. All who knew Shirley are welcome to come help celebrate her life.
