Shirley Ann Webb, beloved daughter of William Douglas “Dick” Gregg and Mildred Winifred Riha Gregg, was born on March 19, 1934, in Fairfax, South Dakota. May 19, 2024, at the age of eighty-nine, she departed this world in Salem, Oregon surrounded by family.
Shirley married the love of her life, Delmer Leroy Webb, in Reno, Nevada on February 10, 1954. Their union was blessed with four wonderful children: Denise, Diana, Thomas, and Bennie. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Shirley's kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A small woman in stature, Shirley was a force to be reckoned with. From working with Delmer in the racehorse business, managing the home-front, and nurturing her children and grandchildren, her energy and flare were matchless. Shirley fostered amazing joyful and meaningful relationships. To many she was a confidant and counselor, intuitively drawing out the best in those around her. As we mourn her passing, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived, moments of laughter, and the love she shared.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Delmer Webb who passed on March 17th, her infant son Thomas William Webb, her parents, Dick and Mildred and her brothers Donald and Earl Gregg. She is survived by her children, Denise Coggins, Diana Cheek, Bennie Webb; sibling, Caroll Gregg Wisner; sisters-in-law Harlene and Sharon Gregg and her cherished grandchildren: Richard Coggins, Landon Coggins, Delmer Wade Coggins, Natalie Cheek, Buddy Cheek, Garth Kiasi, Sophia Kiasi, Jacob Boomhower, Maygen Rea, Brandi Webb, and Tristin Webb, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who cherish so many precious childhood memories of her.
