Sherry Marie Allison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Salem Hospital in Salem, OR, on July 3, 2023. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon, on January 26, 1963, to the late Marie McCombs and Mike McCombs. Sherry was a beacon of love and care, always extending her motherly warmth to not only her children and grandchildren but also to those in need of a motherly figure.


Sherry is survived by her children, Jackie Allison, Ryan Allison, Roni Allison, and Kari Allison. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Lylah Allison, Chelsea Tucker, Hailey Tucker, Amelia Clark, Brianna Allison, and Riley Allison, all of whom she adored immensely. She is also survived by her brother Michael McCombs. Sherry was predeceased by her husband, Scott Allison, her sister, Terri Simon, and her brother, Ronald Tucker.


After graduating high school, Sherry dedicated her professional life to the healthcare industry, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before it was cut short by an injury to her back. Her compassion, patience, and dedication to her work were evident in the care she provided to her patients. After her time as a CNA Sherry worked for a short while at Burger King and KFC until it became too hard on her back. Sherry’s commitment to her work mirrored her commitment to her family - unwavering and full of love. She even utilized her expertise as a nurse to eventually care for her mother when she was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2021.


Sherry was a woman of simple pleasures. She found joy in the everyday moments; cherishing time spent with her family above all else. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where everyone felt loved and accepted. Sherry was known for her sweet nature, always ready with a comforting word or a kind gesture. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, from the big celebrations to the small everyday moments.


Sherry was a loving wife to her late husband, Scott Allison. Their love story was one of mutual respect, shared laughter, and enduring love. They were a team, supporting each other through life's challenges and celebrating each other's successes. Even after Scott's passing, Sherry continued to honor their love by living life with the same compassion and kindness that defined their relationship.


In her role as a mother and grandmother, Sherry was unparalleled. Her love for her children and grandchildren was the driving force in her life. She was their biggest supporter, always there to lend a listening ear, offer words of wisdom, or give a comforting hug. Sherry was not just a mother to her own children but also a mother figure to many who needed one. Her heart was big enough to encompass all who came into her life, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.


In the wake of Sherry's passing, we remember not just her death, but more importantly, her remarkable life. She was a woman of strength, resilience, and unending love.
