She was a wonderful Mother and friend to me and my brother. She has been here in the best of times and the worst. She was never judgmental and saw the good in everyone who crossed her path. We enjoyed talking, shopping, decorating, playing cards and each other’s company. She was a great seamstress, decorator and baker. She was also the Queen of Scrabble. We will miss her company! We will miss her rolls, Swedish and German pancakes; sandbackkels, julekage fattigman and freezer jam among many others! We have lost our mender! We will miss her so much! I remember when I first moved out of the house and I kept turning around to talk to her or comment on what we were watching on TV but I quickly realized that she was not there and I was in my apartment living on my own, I suppose her being gone now will be similar to that because I have already begun to realize that there will be a big empty spot in my heart. Words cannot express all of the things I will miss about my mom. She loved her sisters, her children, her grand children, her nieces and nephews, her brother in laws, her neighbors and all of her wonderful friends from Salem Cardiology. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbor, Gracetta. She loved hanging out with Robin and Bill, Kat, Becky, Laura and many others who have been very dear to her. I believe she is in heaven with Jesus now with her mom and daddy in heaven and she is at peace where there is no more sadness or pain. Although I am very sad that she is gone from us on earth, I know she is finally free from Cancer and I will see her on the other side. Thank you to everyone who made my Mom’s last days on earth more comfortable, memorable and happy. She loved you all and I am so grateful you were here to keep her company and assist her during the last chapter of her earthly life.
