Shawn Paul Dotson

Shawn Paul Dotson passed away on March 9, 2022 in Corvallis, Oregon. He was born on May 9, 1969 in Albany, Oregon to Michael Parnell Butterworth and Marcia Ann (Lanham) Butterworth. He would go on to graduate from high school in South Salem before taking college courses in Salem, OR to better his knowledge of computers.

His interests, hobbies and love were mainly for his cats. His ability to communicate with his animals is a gift that made Shawn unique. He was often called a cat whisperer. Shawn loved to work on computers and with technology. He was very good at fixing and teaching others how to fix and work on their computers. He was an excellent cook and his recipes have started some family fights over who would get the last of his potato salad. Shawn was a kindhearted person that would give you anything you needed if it was in his power. He was very generous and had a selfless love for others.  He loved to joke around and make people laugh with finding humor in anything even at the worst of times.

He is survived by his father, Michael Dotson (Butterworth); mother, Marcia Pace(Lanham); his sister Sheila Thomas; nieces Ashley Thomas and Jessica Davis; as well as many other loving family members. He will be missed by the ones that loved him very much.
