Sharon Irene Niver

September 13, 1938 — December 7, 2022

Sharon's life began in Sept. 13th, 1938 in Placerville, California. She was born to the parents of Evelyn & Earl Nino.

She was born the middle child & the only girl in her family. She had a few things loved to do for hobbies and travel. She loved Quilting and sewing. She also loved to see new places. While being raised in California she had normal childhood. She loved to rollerskate, swim, & hangout with friends & family. Most of her childhood was living in Dunsmire, California. This where she grew up with getting her education from Elementary School thru High School. Shortly after High School Sharon went on to get her College Degree as a Registered Nurse. Sharon met her ex-husband Charles Niver in the late 1950's and married by 1960.

Sharon and Chuck had four sons during the years of May 1962 to May 1965. During Sharon's Pregnancy with the Twins Tim & Terry. Chuck & Sharon were living in Northern California where Chuck worked for the Forestry service.


Sharon & Chuck both said this was the toughest time in their lives. They lived in a cabin that was poorly insulated. So their goal was to find a better place to live before their sons where born. So they were on the hunt for that new place. But while on this search Sharon ended up having the twin boys on May 11th, 1962. By God's grace her boys came into this world healthy.

Well shortly after the birth of the Twins the family moved to Oregon. They lived in Southern Oregon for a few years.

Then the family of by this time they had made two more moves. One move was to Keizer, Ore., While her children where in Elementary School. Sharon had been working at Salem Memorial Hospital in the Neo-natal Unit helping preemie & drug addicted babies make it into this world. She said was an extremely tough job as a Registered Nurse. That facts were that she watch many of these tiny babies not survive. But the years went by the family made a 2nd move to their home in Aumsville, Oregon. Sharon & Chuck decided this was the best place to raise four sons. Out in the country. They hoped the were going to teach their sons about the value of hard work. This seemed to work out pretty well. But Sharon & Chuck had the lose of their son Brian in November 1983. This had taken a serious toll on their marriage. Sharon & Chuck decided to get divorced.

Sharon and Chuck even after the divorce stayed friends until Chuck Passed in 2019. Sharon after the divorce became a travelling Nurse. She worked in pediatrics. She traveled to Hawaii, Washington DC & a few other places were career took her.

By 1990 Sharon decided to stay in Oregon near her family. She bought her home in Hillsboro, Oregon. She worked her last years at St.Vincent Providence Hospital until she retired. During this time her family was growing. She by this time a few grandsons. As the family kept growing she always made time to take her grandchildren and spend time with them. Her favorite place to go with kids was Beverly Beach on the Oregon Coast. She loved watching these kids grow into beautiful young adults.

So now Sharon is retired she watched her Grandchildren starting to become parents. So this Sharon went from Grandma to Great Grandma.


She was blessed to watch her family grow to 4 generations. What a truly great blessing to live to see 4 generations. Sharon's family she had her four sons: Terrance Philip Niver who passed Dec.15th, 2010, Brian Anthony Niver who passed Nov. 15th 1983, Surviving Son's are Timothy Patrick Niver residing in Hillsboro, Oregon & Micheal Christopher Niver residing in Salem, Oregon. Her surviving 6 Grandchildren: Joseph Lazarus Laundry residing in Portland Metro Area, Oregon Sgt.James Patrick Niver residing in Gulfport, Mississippi Matthew Alan Niver residing in Lincolnton, North Carolina Jeremy Charles Niver residing in Salem, Oregon Nicole Lynn Niver residing in Salem, Oregon Justin Niver residing in Salem, Oregon Her surviving 8 Great Grandchildren: Addylin Niver of Salem, Oregon Audriana Niver of Gulfport, Mississippi Malachi Niver of Gulfport, Mississippi Milo Niver of Lincolnton, North Carolina Ezekiel Galvez of Salem, Oregon Dezmond Galvez of Salem, Oregon Roman Galvez of Salem, Oregon Jasper Niver of Lincolnton, North Carolina
