Scott Ryan Allison

Scott Ryan Allison was born on June 1, 1960 in Portland, Oregon. He was raised by Herbert and Dorothy Allison in Lebanon, Oregon. As a teen he attended Lebanon and South Albany High Schools. It was in these early years that Scott learned hunting and fishing from his father, that passion would continue through the years and eventually pass on to his own children.  While in high school, Scott would be part of the band, he could naturally play an instrument by ear. After high school he would work in construction, landscaping and farming. He enjoyed working outside and tending to the animals. When he was not working, he would fish, hunt and camp; always enjoying all things outdoors. He would take his children to go hunting; they would drive for hours and often stop for soda and donuts. The trip always seemed long but the fun memories lasted even longer. Scott loved being a dad to all of his children, he was blessed to meet Sherry Tucker and they were married 20 years ago. Scott could be described as someone who liked to live a simple life but the love he had for his family was tremendous. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them, he loved being a “Papa”. On December 12, 2019, Scott passed away at his home in Scio, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents and father in law. Scott is survived by his wife, Sherry Allison; children, Mandy (Tyler) Barnes, Danny (Samantha) Tucker, Jacklynn Allison (Chris Wheeler), Scott Allison (Kayla Weeks), Roni Allison (Jairo Martinez), Kari Allison (Christopher Williford); siblings, Dixie Mckinley, Patty Yraguen, Brian Allison and Melissa Allison; 13 grandchildren in addition to numerous other family members and friends. Private family services will be held.
