Ruby Keeler Hofmann January 9, 1938 – March 17, 2015 Aumsville, Oregon Ruby was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harry and Ella Johnson. At the age of 6, the family moved to Oregon. When Ruby was 14, she met Carl Hofmann and they were later married in Vancouver, Washington. The couple moved to the Aumsville area and farmed together in North Santiam. Ruby graduated from beauty school and worked for several salons before spending 19 years as a cosmetologist at JCPenney’s salon in Salem. She taught oil painting, was a master food preserver, and loved gardening. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Carl. She is survived by her children, Theresa (Michael) Burns, Pamela Hofmann, Steven Hofmann, and Jeffrey (Debbie) Hofmann; grandchildren, Shelly Burns, Chanielle Guidry, Ross Hofmann, and Daphne Hofmann; great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Ayden Guidry. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 A.M. at Stayton Christian Church. Reception following the service in the church fellowship hall. Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Stayton Christian Church.
