A Friends Celebration of Life Service for Roxy!

Roxanne M. Carroll or known as Roxy by her friends was a beacon of love and selflessness, she left this world much too soon on June 25, 2024, in Salem, Oregon, after a valiant journey through long-standing health issues. Born on September 22, 1981, to Debra J. (Parker) Hoover and Thomas A. Carroll, in the heart of Salem, Oregon. She was the middle child, set between her two brothers, Adam and Peter. Roxanne's infectious spirit and unwavering kindness began to shape the world around her from the very start. She was the utmost loving daughter and sister a family could ever have. Roxanne was also a wonderful aunt who embraced her nieces and nephews with smiles, laughter and lots of fun.

Roxanne blossomed into a remarkable individual. She graduated from North Salem High School in 2000 on the honor roll, later channeling her intellect into the study of computer science at Chemeketa Community College. Eventually, Roxanne's professional journey was marked by her tenure at Meier and Frank, and subsequently at T-Mobile in 2002, where she excelled as a trainer. Her natural ability to guide and inspire others was a testament to her leadership and empathy. Even as health challenges emerged, Roxanne faced them with courage and grace, eventually retiring from work early after 10 years of dedicated employment.

Her life was rich with passions and pursuits that brought joy not only to herself but to all who knew her. Roxanne's love for crocheting was matched only by the warmth she wove into every stitch. A devoted fan of the television show "Friends," Roxanne's sense of humor was reflected in her beloved pets, her cat Phoebe and her dog Chandler, named after her favorite characters. But her biggest passion was people- she made friends with everyone she met and became a part of multiple families.

Roxanne's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. As a founding member of Hope Point Church in Salem, Oregon, she poured her heart and soul into her role as the pastor over students and the prayer ministry. But the role she cherished the most was her time spent as Youth Pastor. The impact that Roxy made on countless lives during that season has extended into the present day.

Her unwavering commitment to her faith and community was a source of inspiration and comfort to so many. Roxy’s passion for sharing her love for Jesus was not just a calling—it was her life's mission, and she embraced it with every fiber of her being. Her testimony to others was how she lived her life and treated others, with generous love, almost to a fault.

To say that Roxy was a role model is an understatement. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her spirit of giving was as natural to her as breathing. She touched lives in ways that cannot be measured, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she encountered. Roxanne's legacy is one of love, kindness, and selflessness—qualities that she fully embodied and that continue to ripple through the lives of those she influenced, even after God called her home.

Her life story is not one of sorrow, but of celebration—a “friends” celebration of a life lived with purpose, compassion, and an abundance of love. Roxanne's journey on this earth may have reached its sunset, but the dawn of her impact is everlasting.

Roxy fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).

Roxanne is survived by her mother, Debra J. Hoover; father, Thomas A. Carroll; her two brothers, Adam and daughter-in-law Grace Carroll, and Peter and daughter-in-law Hanna Carroll. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Taylor, James, Luke, Riley, Alex, Sophia, and Piper. Additionally, she is survived by her Hope Point Church family, friends, and all who were touched by her life.
