Ronald Lyle Griffin

Ronald "Doc" Lyle Griffin passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018, at the age of 73, with his wife Angelia by his side. He was born September 12, 1944 in Jackson, Mississippi. Ronald's father was a preacher and principal and the family moved around quite a bit for his job placements. In March of 1967, he joined the Army, where he would go on to become a medic, thus earning the nickname 'Doc'. Although he wished to have made it a lifelong career, Doc spent just under a decade in service during the Vietnam War Era. Despite his relatively short time in the Army, he completed quite a bit of training and earned many awards. After being honorably discharged, Doc spent several years as a long-haul trucker before turning to work driving cement trucks so he could stay closer to home. After dating for a couple of years, Doc married Angelia Corbitt on October 31, 2009. Services to celebrate Doc's life are pending and a more complete obituary will follow.
