Ronald James Morrison May 16, 1960 January 28, 2017 Silver Lake, Oregon Ron passed away at his home in Silver Lake, Oregon on Saturday, January 28, 2017 following a short illness. Ron was born in Salem, Oregon on May 16, 1960, to Howard and Alice Morrison. He grew up in Mill City, Oregon and graduated from Santiam High school in 1978. Ron went to work at Norpac in 1977 at their Brooks plant. After a transfer to Plant 8 in Salem, Ron remained there until his retirement in 2008. He worked 32 years for Norpac. Ron was blessed with three sons; Ronald Howard, Jackie, and Mikel. He met Barbara Vaughn and they added three more to his family; Christopher, Heather, and Mary. He moved to Aumsville, Oregon and was a single parent to all six of his kids. He was an excellent father, and when he wasnt working he was spending time with his family. These activities included hunting, fishing, and riding 4-wheelers wherever he could find a good place. Many a weekend would find them at Sand Lake, which was one of his favorite spots. In 2015, he moved to Silver Lake, Oregon. That area was a perfect place to continue all of their outdoor activities. Ron was a 20-plus year member of the Mill city Eagles Lodge. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ernest and Ed; and his son Ronald Howard. He is survived by sons Jackie (Jessica Weitman) Morrison of Aumsville, Mikel of Silver Lake, Christopher Vaughn of Aberdeen, WA; daughters Heather Vaughn of Spokane, WA, and Mary Vaughn of Silver Lake; sister Diane of Silver Lake; grandchildren Eliza Morrison, Ethan Morrison, Trinity Weitman, and Trevor Weitman of Aumsville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A memorial service to will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at 2PM at Weddle Funeral Chapel. Services entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
