Ronald Albert Cook was born the youngest of five in Phoenix, Arizona to Arnold B. Cook and Donna Mae Hodges. When Ronald was young the family would move to the Willamette Valley where Ronald would graduate from Cascade High School with the class of 1982. On October 3, 1985 at the age of 20 Ronald would enter the United States Army. He served on active duty until transferring to the Army National Guard in 1987 where he would continue serving until being honorably discharged in 1993. His patriotic spirit would carry on with him though for the rest of his life. He was kind to everyone he came across and always was willing to help those who were in need, but he was quick to point out any issues when it came to disrespect towards America or displaying the flag. Ronald was always one who enjoyed expanding his education. He graduated from Chemeketa College with an Associates in Accounting and would go on to work for the State of Oregon with the Department of Human Services Accounting Division. In his personal life he would watch channels such as the history channel and would only read books for knowledge. He felt that anything other kinds were just a waste of time. Besides educating himself Ronald enjoyed woodworking, fishing and farming; On the property he was heavily involved in the family business of producing and selling of hay. Ronald was also an avid family man and would go out of his way to spend time with those he loved. On July 5, 2019 at the age of 54 Ronald passed away in Aumsville, Oregon surrounded by family.
