Roland "Pete" Lynn Graham

February 4, 1943 — May 25, 2023

Pete Roland Lynn Graham, 80, died Thursday morning May 25th with his wife, daughters and dog Leo by his side.

Pete was born in Murray, Utah and spent most of his formative years in the treasure valley of Idaho and around the west with fond memories and stories of time at the ranch in Susanville, CA. He graduated high school in Notus, Idaho in 1962. That year he met his life long buddy and partner in adventure George Burger.

In 1964 Pete joined the Navy and proudly served his country in Vietnam, and went on to later retire from the Naval reserve as a Sea Bee. Through the navy he traveled the globe.

In November of 1966 Pete met Lynn Irene Chaney at a bar in Nampa. He kept her on the dance floor as he wasn’t sure he had enough to buy her a drink. They married March 10, 1967 in Adrian Oregon. Pete and Lynn spent the next 56 years together moving a total of 26 times; much of that time following his work as a construction journeyman electrician. Most of their time was in Middleton, ID and Scio, OR. They most recently lived in Lebanon, OR to be closer to daughters and grandchildren.

He loved to serve and had fond memories of being scout leader and volunteer work with the Scio Buckaroos.

Pete loved his family, the outdoors and always had a good story to share. He taught us to work hard, be kind and not take things too seriously. Anyone who knew Pete probably has a favorite story in their mind. It is ok if you smile when you think of it.
