Robin Marie Olheiser Profile Photo

Robin was born on January 27,1959 in Enterprise, Oregon.  When she was young the Family moved to Salem, Oregon where she attended and then graduated school from North Salem High School. While in school, she was a hard worker, as well as, during her time at Denny’s Restaurant and then at the Statesman Journal where she was a sportswriter. In between all that she played Horn for “The Flamingos”, a Salem marching band. Robin had the fortunate opportunity to travel around the country.  During one of these trips she had the opportunity to play a solo during an NFL half time show. After High school Robin attended several colleges and received her degree in marketing. In her spare time, she liked motocross racing, water skiing, snowmobiling and nice cars. A good patty melt and a chocolate shake (no whipped cream) was a favorite meal of hers. She also loved giving and receiving a good practical joke. Robin had a gift of making friends with people and animals. One year on a business trip to Venezuela, Robin wanted to go water skiing. The only boat that was available was a diesel fishing trawler, so she did it anyways in a cloud of diesel smoke!  It was her birthday and she wasn’t taking no for an answer. Robin enjoyed watching religious T.V. and various pastor’s messages. One particular show was on at 5 P.M. and she would watch while riding her stationary bike. “Biking to the bible” was what she called it. Robin lived a full life with few regrets. On December 9, 2019 Robin passed away in Salem, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her Mother, Hank Beals and step father, Boyd Beals. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred; step children, Tyson, Adam, Clint and Christina; 13 grandchildren and 6 siblings. Robin made the world a better placed while she was here. We will miss her jokes, her stories, her laugh and the energy she brought into our lives. We will miss you Robin.
