Robin Richard Franck was born on March 13, 1962 in Roseburg, Oregon to Richard and Juanita (Williamson) Franck. Robin’s family relocated to Glenwood, Oregon near Forest Grove where he graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1980. Through a mutual friend, Robin met the love of his life, Cynthia Sevigny. Their first date Robin took her to the Flying M Ranch and for Robin it was love at first sight, marrying in 1999. This union brought Robin the large loving family that he always desired with lots of children and grandchildren for family time. After living in Forest Grove for several years, they decided to relocate to Sublimity where Cynthia had worked at Marian Estates and Robin joined her as the landscaping director. He worked there for 15 years until making a career change with Ace Hardware, working first at the Stayton store, followed by Mehama the last three years. He loved working at the Mehama store and appreciated his co-workers and many customers that became his friends. Robin was incredibly hard working and his biggest priority was to always make sure that he provided for his family. Besides work, Robin had several hobbies and interests he enjoyed such as fishing and hunting. He and his son would set up a hunting camp where they would ride quads and hunt for elk, Robin always enjoyed a good elk steak. He also was a Master Gardner and was meticulous about his yard, always perfecting the landscaping. At times when Robin would grow tomato plants they would get up to 10 feet in height. But most of all for Robin, family was most important. Whether it was pool parties, making cotton candy or snow cones for his grandchildren, hosting a family BBQ or spending Christmas at the beach with his wife, Robin’s best days were the ones spent with family by his side. The love he had for his grandchildren was immeasurable and with his wonderful sense of humor he would jokingly try to bribe his children for more grandchildren. He loved to laugh, tease his kids and had a great sense of humor. There was no doubt that his family was his greatest joy. On March 13, 2019 Robin passed away unexpectedly in Salem, Oregon at age 57. His loss leaves a huge void to his family, co-workers and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children Jason (Christina), Heidi (Javier), Wendy, Amie (Suzie) and Michelle (Joe); grandchildren, Alex, Alexa, Lauren, Cody, Hayley, Breanna, Logan, Jordan, Matthew, Joey, Richard, Jaden, Nathan, and Maria; sisters, Delores and Charlotte (Kerry) in addition to several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy and son in law, Ronnie. Robin made it clear to everyone that he did not want a service. He wanted the people he loved to come together, share memories and listen to some of his favorite music. A celebration of life will take place at 11am on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton.
