On August 25, 1950, Richard exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Shirlee Marie Agerup, setting the stage for a lifetime of shared dreams and enduring commitment. Together, they welcomed four children into their loving home: Marty Allen, Judy Hosea, Paige Johnson, and Tyler Billings.
A graduate of Washington State University, Richard earned an Engineering Degree, symbolizing his dedication to knowledge and mastery. His professional path led him to Howard S Wright Construction, where he left an indelible mark.
The canvas of Richard's life spanned across Federal Way, WA, Princeville in Kauai, Anchorage in Alaska, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Sublimity, Oregon. A veteran of the Army, he exemplified courage and honor in service to his country during WWII.
