Rebecca Jean Grichar

Rebecca Jean Grichar, affectionately known as Nana, passed away on May 19, 2024. Born on December 18, 1959, in Modesto, California, she was the beloved daughter of Martha (Wann) and Gary Perry. Becca was a free spirit who embraced life with a sense of adventure. Her passions included rockhounding, collecting driftwood, tending to her garden, and indulging in various crafts. She was in touch with her native side and applied the native teachings to her life.

The magic of Christmas held a special place in Becca’s heart. She delighted in sharing homemade gifts and baking cookies with her cherished children and grandchildren. Despite her tough and stubborn exterior, Becca had a tender heart and an immense love for her family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. Survived by her children, Robert (Ester) Cummings and Steven (Emily) Miller, Becca also leaves behind a host of grandchildren: Robert, Devin, Clarissa, Colbin, Alyce, David, Bella, Jerry and great-granddaughter Ava and another great-grandchild on the way.

Becca is also survived by her siblings, Tim Perry and Renee Medeiros along with multiple nieces and nephews that she loved and adored very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Susanna, and her brother Mike.

In celebrating Becca’s life, we remember her as a spirited soul who touched the hearts of those around her. Her love, kindness, and zest for life will forever be cherished by family and friends. May she rest in peace.
