Rachel Nordmo

Our beloved Rachel Lynn Nordmo went home to heaven on Friday December 6, 2024. Rachel was born May 18th 1996 in Salem Oregon. She lived in the Santiam Canyon her whole life. She loved the mountains and the river that surrounded the only place that she ever wanted to call home.

She graduated from Santiam High school in 2014 and received a scholarship for the grades she kept throughout school. She was a member of the Wolverettes Dance team and the funniest kid in school, unforgettable. She was outgoing, thoughtful, kind and caring and could make anyone laugh. She was memorable, meaningful and knew how to make you smile even when you didn’t want to. One of a kind, an irreplaceable light who will be missed by many.

Rachel worked as a care giver for many years and helped several clients in the Santiam Canyon. She volunteered at the food bank and was always bringing people in who needed help. Last year she volunteered at the library where she loved organizing the books. She hated litter and would always bring trash bags along anytime we went to the local park or on a mountain drive. She always made it her life’s mission to keep beautiful places beautiful. She was beautiful.

Rachel is survived by her parents Erick and Stacey Nordmo. Her sister Cora Young and brother-in-law Robert Young and nephew Jacob Young. Her fiancé Jade Vincent and her beloved daughter Emillee Guzman. Along with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and the many, many friends she had.

 A celebration of life service will be held at the Gates Community Church in Gates, Oregon January 4th 2025 at 11:00 A.M. All are welcome to come and celebrate her life with us.
