Scio- Phyllis Evelyn Ralston was born on June 12, 1942 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Charles And Faye (McClean) Baird. She grew up with one sibling, Charles Jr. in Takilma, Oregon and would go on to graduate from Illinois Valley High School in Cave Junction. After High School Phyllis moved to Albany, Oregon while she attended Oregon State University. This was where she would meet Allen Ralston who was introduced to her though their pastor and who happened to live in the same building. The two would start dating and would soon be married on October 16, 1965 in Cave Junction, Oregon. They would be blessed with three children, Myles, Amanda and Troy. Even though she worked all throughout her life between Safeway, Montgomery Ward and the Cannery in Stayton, her focus in life was her family. She was highly involved in her kid’s activities and would make sure that they not only tried different things but that they got to them on time. Phyllis was an avid sports fan; especially OSU Beaver sports. She also followed the Portland Trailblazers and Seattle Mariners. In her spare time Phyllis loved to bake. She was especially known by many people for her famous Maple Bars which she would frequently donate or share. On April 25, 2020 Phyllis passed away in Woodburn, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Faye. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Allen; Children Myles (Mindy) Ralston, Amanda (Kenneth) Cole, and Troy (Emily) Ralston; Grandchildren, Noel, Johnathan, Lindsay, and Christopher, and Brother Charles Baird Jr.
