Born to Stan (Tut) Weitman & Marily (Speer) Weitman


Married 1967, Stayton to Pat Mason. They later divorced in 1992.

They had 4 sons –

Eric S. (Terry) Weitman, Albany

Jason A. (Jennifer) Weitman, Washington

Phillip “Scott” (Crystal) Weitman, Texas

Dustin L. (Missy) Weitman, Mill City


He grew up on the family farm in Aumsville. They worked tending land, crops, and livestock.

He has 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.


Phil attended Stayton Grade School and Stayton High School. He was on the track team and gymnastic

team where he excelled in both.


Phil worked for the CO-Op farm store seed plant in Stayton. Then Stayton Refrigeration building,

creating, and installing duct work for heating and cooling units in residential and commercial buildings

from 1969 to 1989. He retired after an aneurysm left him disabled.


He loved fast cars, 4 wheeling and dirt bikes. He enjoyed family gatherings, staying up late playing cards,

watching his sons in their sports. He loved his grandchildren; they were the light of his life. He loved

hanging with friends, having a beer listening and telling stories. Phil knew all the neighbors and visited

with them having his smokes. He had a large collection of lighters and Budwieser mugs.


Phil was preceded in death by his Father Stan (Tut) Weitman, Mother Marilyn Speer Weitman, Son Scott

Weitman, and Brother Rod Weitman.


Survived by Sons Eric, Jason, Dusty Weitman. Siblings Rick, Brent, Doug, Diane, and Carla. 20

grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and friends.


Celebration of life to be announced.


In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Phillips name to organizations that provide horses for

the physically challenged.
