OSCAR FRANKLIN “FRANK” NEWTON Feb. 6, 1932 – Oct. 25, 2010 Aumsville, Oregon Resident Frank Newton was born at Wanette, Oklahoma on the 6th day of February, 1932. He passed away at his home on Monday, Oct. 25th. He was 78. The son of Jarvis and Dollie Newton. Frank was married to Jewel Miller and they made their home in Arizona and Oklahoma before moving to Aumsville in 1969. He served in the US Army and had worked as an agricultural farmer. He enjoyed welding, mechanics, the outdoors, spending time with family and listening to country western music. Jewel preceded him in death in 1983. He is survived by his children; Mitch (Darlene) Newton of Gates, Matthew (Julie) Newton of Aumsville, Terry (Rinda) Newton of Turner, Sheila Ferra of Aumsville; Paul (Phyllis) Newton of Marion, Janet Rupe of New Mexico, Sharon Scritchfield of Missouri, Ralph Winters of Clatskanie; brothers, Bill of Oklahoma, Dick & Red both of Arizona; sisters, Louise Box of Oklahoma and Kay of Arizona; numerous grand and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gene, Sam and Donny. Visitation will be Wed. Oct. 27th from Noon – 5:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Services, Stayton, Oregon. Graveside service will be Thurs.
