Oregon Resident Aumsville

Aumsville, Oregon Resident Linda was born in Salem Memorial Hospital, Salem Oregon on June 29th, 1950.  She passed away on Saturday Aug. 20th at home on the farm that had been in her family for a century. She was 61. The daughter of F.A. and Theresa Mix, Linda grew up on the farm and on the Oregon Coast. She had worked in mobile home manufacturing and was a customer service representative for T-Mobile before retiring. Linda was an avid gardener who enjoyed reading, particularly gardening books, English mysteries and historical novels. She loved caring for her farm animals. After having lived in separate states for many years, Linda reconnected with her high school sweetheart, David Shepard, and they were married on December 10th, 1988. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, known by all for her kindness and genuine caring for everyone fortunate enough to be touched by her life. She is survived by her husband, David, and their daughters, Crystal Le Gallo (Frank) of Portland and Heather Gill of Killeen, TX, sister Darlene Strozut of Salem, brother Raymond Mix of West Salem and four grandchildren.
