Lebanon, Oregon January 14, 1941 February 11, 2016 Doug was born in Dakota City, Iowa on January 14, 1941. His family relocated to Oregon when Doug was very small. After graduation, Doug enlisted in the military serving as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army. After his discharge he went to work at Simpson Timber Plywood Mill in Albany. He worked there for 27 years until the plant closed in 1989. Doug then became an Independent Contractor until his retirement in 2011. Doug enjoyed fishing and hunting. Doug is survived by his wife, Karen of Lebanon; daughter Robin of Albany; step-son Tony Bender of New York; step-son Tim Engel of Albany; step-daughter Tracy Stearns-Church of Tacoma, WA; and step-daughter Marcy Engel Christensen of Albany. Doug is also survived by brother, David Drushella of Albuquerque, NM; sister Paulette Lockard of South Bend, WA; brother Clinton LeeRay Drushella of Dinosaur, CO, and sister Patricia Sayer of Port Angeles, WA. Doug is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two siblings preceded Doug in death. No public service will be held. There will be a private family service only. Contributions may be made in Dougs name to Evergreen Hospice in Albany or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
