Nathan Dakota Ellis

Nathan Dakota Ellis was born on December 18, 2001 in Salem, Oregon to Nate Ellis and Nita Mitchell. Growing up in Stayton and Turner, Oregon he attended Cascade and Stayton high school and was a part of the graduating class of 2020. To some of his friends he went by Nathan and with others, Dakota. Nathan had lots of activities that he enjoyed such as loud music and hanging out with his friends. He was known for being quiet, but also had an incredibly caring heart for his friends and family. He loved spending time with his nieces and loved being their uncle. Besides his family, what he loved the most was always being outdoors. He was an novice hunter and fisherman, who also enjoyed camping. He also loved spending time on the Oregon Coast. Nathan could find peace while visiting the beach. Like his older brother Cody, he also enjoyed spending time with friends around a bonfire. He was known for his love of wearing Fox racing as it was his favorite. Like most teenage boys, Nathan was a huge PS4 player, he loved GTA5 and Modern warfare. Most recently, Nathan moved to Canby, where he passed away on May 24, 2020 at age 18, a beautiful life gone too soon. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Ellis and his stepfather, Steven Ward. He is survived by his mother, Nita Mitchell and Step-Dad Ryan Mitchell; Dad, Nathan Ellis siblings, Anthony Ellis, Kayla Ellis and Nico Campa; nieces Amelia and Serenity, in addition to an abundance of other family members and friends.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later time in the near future.
