Name: Arvin C. Cureton

NAME: Arvin C. Cureton BORN: July 23, 1923 in Beachton, Oklahoma DIED: December 13, 2008 in Stayton, Oregon Arvin was born to P.L. & Victoria Cureton .He moved to California where he began work in the orchards and farms. He married Ima Stinson on May 19, 1945 and they moved to North Santiam in 1946. He worked for the Mill Industry until his retirement in 1984. He was a volunteer fireman for Marion County and a devoted little league Dad helping transport kids to and from practice and games. Ima preceded him in Death in 2000. He married Sharon L. Efird on March 9, 2001. He enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities. He also enjoyed playing games such as dominoes, skipbo and was an avid bowler. His handiman skills kept him busy. He attended the Church of God in Turner and most recently was attending the Aumsville Mountain View Church. He was also a member of the Timber Operators Union for 35 years.
