In Loving Memory of Mildred Edna Shepard
Mildred Edna Shepard, beloved daughter, mother, and friend, was born on November 21, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to the proud parents Earl and Edna Waite.
For two decades, she served as a dedicated custodian at Lancaster Mall, which is now known as Willamette Town Center. Her hard work and commitment left an indelible mark on the establishment, many remember her.
Outside of her work, Mildred enjoyed her leisure time participating in a bowling league. She had a competitive spirit and a passion for the sport that brought her closer to her friends and provided countless hours of enjoyment.
In the later years of her life, Mildred found a new calling. She became a devoted volunteer, working alongside her daughter, Debra (Bill) Cherry, in a noble endeavor—cat rescue. Her compassionate heart and love for animals led her to make a positive impact in the lives of countless furry friends in need.
On October 7, 2023, in Salem, Oregon, Mildred Edna Shepard peacefully passed away. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched the lives of many and will continue to be an inspiration for generations to come.
Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Debra (Bill) Cherry, who will continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
Mildred Edna Shepard's spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. She will be dearly missed, but her love will continue to shine brightly through the lives she has enriched.
