Mildred B. Spellmeyer August 12, 1914 – April 1, 2012 Stayton, Oregon Mildred was born in Overton, Nebraska. At an early age she moved to Miller, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1931. She attended Kearney State College and taught school for several years. She married Clifford R. Spellmeyer on May 21, 1941 and made their first home in Longview, WA where their children were born. The family then moved to Stayton, in November of 1954. Mildred worked as an accounting clerk for Norpac and retired after sixteen years in 1977. She was a member of Eastern Star (60 + years), Salem Glee Club, Santiam Seniors, United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included Gardening, handcrafts, music, reading, cards & bingo. She is survived by daughters; Armine Balloun of Vancouver, WA, Barbara (Carlos) Gonzales of Sublimity, son; Chris Spellmeyer of Salem, grandchildren; Trevor Balloun of Seattle and Tiffany Balloun of Spain. Memorial service will be April 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stayton United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to Stayton United Methodist Church or to The American Heart Association.
