Melissa Sue Dennis

Melissa Sue Dennis was born on September 2, 1982, in Apple Valley, California to Mike Dennis and Sharon Goodman Dennis. For the last 30 years Melissa resided in Turner, Oregon and attended Cascade High School until her senior year. She graduated in 2001. During her time in high school, Melissa was active in volleyball, swimming, and softball. She was also very involved with FFA and did everything! She was incredibly talented and even learned how to weld.

Melissa was gifted at helping people and she thrived in customer service. After high school she worked at Best Buy and for 10 years worked at the T-Mobile call center until her health no longer allowed due to a brain cancer diagnosis. For 12 years Melissa fought incredibly hard, all while keeping a great sense of humor and believed in letting go of the past. She was a true peacemaker.

She had many hobbies including running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her nephews. They were her great love and meant the world to her. Melissa was a true animal lover and had hopes to one day open an animal shelter, she also wanted to open a facility to help veterans as well. She had a heart for people and helping others.

On December 11, 2023, at her home in Turner, Melissa passed away leaving her family much too soon. She is survived by her mother, Sharon Dennis; father, Mike Dennis; brother, Michael Dennis; sisters, Becky Ann Dennis, and Michelle Boone; her two beloved nephews, Cade and Jude; her beloved Grandmother, Martha in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends.

At her request, Melissa did not want any services, but her family would hope in her honor to donate to one of two charities: the Oregon Humane Society or The American Cancer Society.
